This bar chart enables us to have a comprehensive view of the rise of express delivery business in China from 2018 to 2020. In these 3 years, the total number of parcels delivered jumped from 51 billion in 2018 to 83 billion in 2020. While the number in rural areas also has a boost, from 12 billion in 2018 to more than doubled - 30 billion parcels were delivered in 2020.
The reason for the exploded rising market of express delivery business can be subjected to multiple factors. First is the rise of e-commerce, which allows more vendors to be reached over the country, and hugely boosts the delivery business. Then with the development of e-commerce, as the customer grows the need for variety, the delivery business allows vendors can ship more goods faster and more reliably.
The boost of the express delivery business undoubtedly shows another view in terms of China’s economy, and steadily becoming the infrastructure of the country, this trend will be ultimately embraced by everyone.
